Peels are chemical mixtures that are applied to the skin to enable exfoliation. Peels were first introduced for acne scarring in 1930s, which were very strong and irritating formulations. However nowadays much more gentle concentrations of acid are used, i.e. they are much safer.

Regular receiving these supericial peels speeds up the rejuvenation of the skin by removing dead skin cells from the outer most layer in a safe and professional environment. The peel can be applied to thick, rough, sun-damaged skin to gradually improve the deep penetration of active ingredients from your homecare products into the deeper layers of the skin. In other words, having regular peels improves the efficiency of your homecare creams.
Acne responds very well to peeling, which can also sterilise the eruptions that occurs in this condition, without causing further damage to surrounding skin tissue. Vitamin A found in creams such as Environ’s AVST range will aid rapid healing when combined with a chemical peel.
